Intercultural Education

We organise and run four workshops Cross Border to promote a more permanent peace with funding accessed from various agencies.

  • We hold literacy classes in our meeting room for foreign nationals by the VEC.
  • We provided meeting space for Mental Health Ireland once a month.
  • We help promote events for the LGBT group including the NW Gay Carnival.
  • We promote the inclusion of Special Needs groups or in the commmunity and their inclusion with other community groups.
  • We provide research and information to Lone Parents and free IT and internet access.
  • We write articles in the local media for community groups, send news shots to local papers to promote events and create posters/tickets.
  • We provide smoke alarms to the elderly and other maginalised groups.
  • We provide information and reseached infomation on entitlements and rights.
  • We work with rural women's groups providing information on courses and funding.
