Drama

Atlantic View CDP's Community Co-ordinator, writes, produce and direct plays on local issues or of historic interest. The actors are taken from marginalised groups such as the Active Age, Unemployed or Women's Groups who have not participated before in the Arts. The groups have been short listed in local Radio Drama Competitions, taken part in plays enacted in Leinster House for the launch of Women in the Picture by the National Women's Congress, in the Four Season's for the Country University American group. They also are involved in Pub and Street Theatre. Through this practice we have seen individuals grow and develop and go on to further education and training becoming part of the work force in jobs they would beforehand only have dreamed of.
